Our First Blog for Standup Paddleboarding on the Potomac River

Paddleboarding, also know as SUP or standup paddleboard, is an awesome workout.  If you're interested in learning how to do it, then take some lessons.  The Potomac River is a great place to learn to paddleboard because there is both flat water and swift water.

It's also possible to SUP and standup paddleboard on the Potomac River in the winter.  There are two easy access points to the Potomac River to paddleboard, one is from the Ranger Station and one is from Old Angler's in.  Parking is easy, and it's a short walk to the Potomac River.

In the winter, if you SUP or paddleboard on the Potomac River, you'll probably want either a dry suit, or a 5mm or thicker wetsuit.  Be safe!
